Hi everyone. I have a ring that I found under a stove in a repo’d house we bought. I need to find out how many grams this ring weighs and approx size of diamonds. Ring weighs .2oz (very light) but I need that figure in grams. Beautiful ring with synthetic star saphire 14K. Also has WH stamped inside as well, does that mean white gold? I was told it looks like brushed white gold setting. Also, inside of ring measures 20mm, does anyone know what size that would be. They are called scales.
2oz = 56 grams
honestly i dont know. but if you take it to a jewler they can tell you everything you want to know about it. the WH is probably someones initials, cuz my white gold doesnt have that. the size sounds like a 9-11 or 12, so its on the larger side, but a jewler would be able to tell you that.
darling in my opinion you should find out who owned the house previously and ask via a third party (such as the real estate agent who sold you the house) if they lost the ring.
Other than that, your ring is not white gold, but yellow gold. And the only way you will get accurate information on it (size, weight, quality of stones) is through a real jeweller.
Good photos. It’s a man’s ring–the diamonds look to be about 2-3 points each–not expensive and the star sapphire is not expensive to replace either if it’s one of the man created ones like Linde. A jeweler would be able to weigh it and size it for you. You’re probably in the $225.00 price range if it’s 14K.
